Rumuomasi

Rumuomasi Zone

The parish home around Arochukwu Street and the church compound.

Rumuomasi Zone is the heart of Mater Misericordiae — the neighbourhood that gathers around the parish church on Arochukwu Street. Families here walk to Sunday Mass, weekday liturgies, and the many meetings that fill the compound through the week.

Zone leaders visit the sick, welcome new residents, and keep the Small Christian Communities in prayer. If you live near the church, this is your first home in the parish family; introduce yourself after Mass or through the parish office.

Elekahia

Elekahia Zone

A neighbouring community of worship, visitation, and service.

Elekahia Zone gathers parishioners from the Elekahia community into prayer, neighbourhood care, and Sunday worship at Mater Misericordiae. Members support one another in times of joy and sorrow, and they keep the zone close to the liturgical life of the parish.

Meetings, visitations, and seasonal programmes are announced in the bulletin. New families in Elekahia are encouraged to speak with a zone leader or the parish office so they can be placed in a Small Christian Community.

Rumuigbo

Rumuigbo Zone

Rumuigbo Zone unites Catholic families in Rumuigbo for prayer, formation, and pastoral follow-up. Members share news of the sick, prepare for feasts, and encourage one another to take a full part in Mass and parish apostolates.

The zone works with the parish office so that baptisms, marriages, and other pastoral needs are accompanied close to home. Residents of Rumuigbo who are not yet known to a Small Christian Community are warmly invited to join.

Woji/Rumuogba

Woji/Rumuogba

Woji/Rumuogba Zone brings together parishioners from Woji and Rumuogba as one pastoral neighbourhood. The zone keeps households connected to Sunday Mass at Mater Misericordiae while fostering local prayer, visitation, and charitable service.

Leaders coordinate with the parish for announcements, harvest, and seasonal missions. Families moving into Woji or Rumuogba should make themselves known so they can be welcomed into the life of the zone.

Rumuobiakani

Rumuobiakani Zone

Faith at home in Rumuobiakani, joined to the wider parish family.

Rumuobiakani Zone accompanies Catholic households in Rumuobiakani with prayer meetings, neighbourly visits, and a clear path to the sacraments at Mater Misericordiae. The zone helps families remain close to the Church even when weekday travel is demanding.

Members support one another in catechesis, care of the sick, and parish celebrations. Speak with a zone leader or the parish office to be enrolled in a Small Christian Community.

Oyigbo

Oyigbo Zone

Parishioners in Oyigbo remaining close to Mater Misericordiae.

Oyigbo Zone gathers members who live toward Oyigbo yet belong fully to Mater Misericordiae. The zone keeps the parish present in that corridor through prayer, communication, and pastoral concern for families who travel for Sunday Mass.

Zone meetings and notices are shared through the bulletin and local leaders. Anyone in Oyigbo who wishes to register with the parish or join a Small Christian Community should contact the parish office.

GRA/Expressway

GRA/Expressway Zone

Households along the GRA and Expressway corridor of the parish.

GRA/Expressway Zone serves parishioners living along the GRA and the Port Harcourt–Aba Expressway approaches to the parish. Members stay linked to Sunday worship, parish programmes, and the merciful outreach that marks Mater Misericordiae.

The zone helps busy households receive announcements, care for the sick, and take part in harvest and feast days. New residents along this corridor are invited to introduce themselves after Mass or through the parish office.

Airport

Airport Zone

Airport Zone accompanies Catholic families living toward the Airport axis who worship at Mater Misericordiae. Distance is no barrier to belonging: the zone keeps households in prayer, shares parish news, and visits those who cannot always be present.

Leaders work with the parish office so that sacraments, membership, and pastoral care remain close. If you have settled in this area, please make yourself known so the zone can welcome you.

Rumuola

Rumuola Zone

Rumuola households praying and serving as one neighbourhood.

Rumuola Zone unites parishioners in Rumuola for Sunday Mass at Mater Misericordiae, local prayer, and care of neighbours. Members encourage one another in the sacraments, in family life, and in the apostolates of the parish.

Meetings and visitations are arranged by zone leaders in step with the parish calendar. Families in Rumuola who are not yet attached to a Small Christian Community are invited to join.

Okporo

Okporo Zone

Okporo Zone gathers Catholic families in Okporo into a living cell of the parish. Members pray together, share burdens, and remain close to the altar of Mater Misericordiae for Sunday Mass and the liturgical year.

The zone supports catechesis, visitation of the sick, and parish celebrations. Residents of Okporo should speak with a leader or the parish office to be placed in a Small Christian Community.

Rumuokwuta

Rumuokwuta Zone

Rumuokwuta families belonging fully to the parish mission.

Rumuokwuta Zone keeps households in Rumuokwuta bound to Mater Misericordiae in worship, formation, and neighbourly service. Members look out for one another, welcome newcomers, and take part in the wider life of the parish.

Zone programmes follow the liturgical seasons and the parish bulletin. If you live in Rumuokwuta, come forward after Mass or through the parish office so the zone can receive you.

Trans Amadi

Trans Amadi Zone

Parishioners in Trans Amadi, joined to worship and community at Mater.

Trans Amadi Zone accompanies parishioners who live and work in the Trans Amadi area while belonging to Mater Misericordiae. The zone helps families remain present at Sunday Mass, receive pastoral care, and share in parish celebrations despite the demands of the industrial corridor.

Leaders pass on announcements, organise visitation, and connect members with ministries. New Catholic households in Trans Amadi are encouraged to register with the parish and join this zone.
