About this zone
GRA/Expressway Zone
Households along the GRA and Expressway corridor of the parish.
SS. Peter and Paul! Pray for us.
With joy, we gladly welcome you to GRA/Expressway zone . It is one of the pioneer zones of the church having its existence dated back in the late eighties (80s), and early nineties (90s), during the time of Fr Obi when the church adopted the zoning system in its administration.
It’s one of the leading zones in the church and has been very vibrant and active from inception till date.
It has been successfully led by different zonal leaders who by the grace of God are still alive and healthy today, among who are Mr. Obienyem, Engr. Okpalogu, Mr. Godwin Ezeamuzie , Noble Lady Joy Tawo and Mr. Hilary Agu.
Our zone is unique in the sense that it’s the only zone that has two great saints of the church as it’s patron saints…..SS Peter and Paul. We celebrate our feast Day on 29th June.
Indeed we are blessed!
GRA/ Expressway zone is a house hold name in Mater having made remarkable contributions towards the growth of the church.
We are the first zone to donate a brand new car to the church.
Pastorally, we have successfully trained a priest who is currently pastoring God’s flock in United Kingdom(UK). Currently, we are training a second priest.
We have also donated two plots of land to the Spiritan Congregation, to mention but a few.
