Rumuigbo Zone

Rumuigbo zone of Mater, is one of the foremost Zones Created by the Parish for case in fostering, greater outreach to Catholic and Christian populace within our catchment area and for the parish administrative purposes.

Inspirationally named after saint Augustine of Hippo, a doctor and bishop of the church a saint of African origin, born on 13th November 354 at Tagaste, Lumidia north Africa (South Ahras) Algeria, who was converted by his mother Saint Monica, a devout Christian. The inspiration is that, like in the case of the conversion of St. Augustine of Hippo, we should not relent, or consider any effort too great in the spreading of the gospel for conversation of souls, which is summed up in his writing. “Our hearts were made for you, O’ Lord and they are restless until they rest in you.” He died on 28th August 430 at Hippo. Hence, his memorial is on 28th of August every year.

With great joy, therefore we welcome you to St. Augustine. Rumuigbo zone of Mater, the accommodating zone, were Members and visitors are treated equally with greet love and brotherliness.
