Sacrament
Matrimony
Christian marriage — a covenant of love blessed by God in the Church.
About this sacrament
Matrimony
The Sacrament of Matrimony unites a baptised man and woman in a lifelong covenant. Couples preparing at Mater Misericordiae begin with the parish priests well in advance, complete marriage preparation, and arrange the wedding liturgy according to Church and diocesan norms.
When it is celebrated
By appointment. Couples should begin at least six months before the proposed wedding date.
