Welcome to the highly respected RUMUOBIOKANI Zone Family of Mater Misericordiae Catholic Church, Rumuomasi, Port-Harcourt.

Patron Saint: St. DOMINIC

Saint Dominic, (Spanish: Santo Domingo; 8 August 1170 - 6 August 1221), also known as Dominic de Guzmán was a Castilian Catholic priest and the founder of the Dominican Order. He is the patron saint of astronomers and natural scientists, and he and his order are traditionally credited with spreading and popularizing the Holy Rosary.

Rumuobiokani Zone was among the pioneer zones of Basic Christian Community, created for the enhancement of administration in the Parish, by the Parish Priest Emeritus, Rev. Fr. Aloysius Nwabueze Obi, CSSp of blessed memory, during the 1990s. The Zone was the best-performing zone at the inception of all zonal activities during the said period. The zone remains resolute in her pursuit of fraternal charity, caring for families, and supporting the Church.

The geographical area of the Rumuobiokani Zone includes the following;

The Zone invites Mater parishioners who reside within and around the foregoing areas to be part of the zonal community to enable them to attain Christian unity and spiritual growth and contribute to the progress of the church and the kingdom of God.
