Our Lady, Mother of Mercy

Mary’s title of mercy and what it means for a parish that bears her name.

Rev. Fr. Sabinus Nwosu, CSSp

From the Cross, Jesus gave us His Mother. The Church has long called her Mother of Mercy because she never ceases to bring sinners to her Son and to stand with those who suffer.

In Port Harcourt, our parish looks to Mary as patron and model: humble, attentive, and steadfast. When we pray the Rosary or honour her feast days, we ask her to form the same heart in us.

Turn to her today with one intention — for your family, your work, or someone who needs hope. She will not refuse a child who asks in faith.
