Learning to pray again

When prayer feels dry, return to presence, Scripture, and the quiet of the church.

Assistant Priest

Many faithful people quietly admit: “I do not know how to pray anymore.” Dryness is not failure. It can be an invitation to pray with less noise and more trust.

Try this: sit in the church for ten minutes with no agenda. Read a short Gospel passage. Speak to the Lord as to a friend. End with an Our Father prayed slowly.

Adoration, the Rosary, and the Liturgy of the Hours are treasures of the Church — not burdens. Start small, stay faithful, and let God do the rest.
