1. Examine your conscience and pray for sorrow.
2. Enter the confessional / meet the priest.
3. Begin: "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been ___ since my last Confession."
4. Confess your sins clearly and honestly.
5. Listen to the priest's counsel and accept your penance.
6. Make an Act of Contrition.
7. Receive absolution.
8. Complete your penance promptly.
